Make sure you can answer the check-in questions we discussed at the beginning of class. The questions are listed below:
- Draw three water molecules and label dipoles, one covalent bond, and one hydrogen bond
- Why do electrons spend more time around the oxygen rather than the hydrogen?
- How does water's polarity make it a good solvent?
- How does the polarity of water allow for hydrogen bonding?
Lab: Water and it's polarity.
- 5 stations were set up around the room and the different characteristics of water were tested.
- Informal write-up due on Thursday (you will get class time tomorrow to work on it).
- Your write up must include: name, title, observations, and answers to questions
